January's Charity of the Month is The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County

Posted by Stephanie Bates on

Every month, Stella&Asher Shop donates a portion of sales to a different charity. This month's charity hits close to home, literally. We have chosen to support Boulder County Wildfire Fund by The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County.

On December 30th, 2021 multiple fires broke out across Boulder County.

More than 35,000 people were evacuated and almost 1,000 structures were destroyed. The Wildfire Fund is distributing $5M in financial assistance to those whose homes have been destroyed or damaged and an additional $500K to support the needs of evacuees from this fund.

How are we planning on helping? When you shop with Stella&Asher Shop during the month of January (2022), we will be donating a portion of our sales to victims of the Marshall Fire. Click here to shop.

Helping the victims of the Marshall Fire

Boulder County has opened a disaster assistance center where they, and other partners, will conduct needs assessment and provide services to our neighbors.

**If you have been affected by the disaster please go directly to the Disaster Assistance Center, 9AM - 7PM, seven days a week: 1755 South Public Road in Lafayette**

The global outpouring of generous support for the Boulder County Wildfire Fund has been overwhelming and as of 12PM January 7th, the Wildfire fund has raised over $17M from over 52,000 donors. They are establishing an advisory committee to determine how to best distribute the balance of the funds.
